Ecole Maternelle Cressot

The school where I had my work Experience is in Montigny les Metz, in the administrative department of Moselle.

Joseph Cressot School is a application nursery school (an application school is a school where apprentice teacher go to learn in real conditions). This school has 4 classes :

Class 1 & 3 : younger/older section

Class 2 & 4 : medium /older section

Some teacher are part-time workers and share their attendance with another teacher, some others are full time workers.

Teachers are helped by ATSEM (Agents territoriaux Spécialisés des Ecoles Maternelles) for some tasks as painting with kids, cleaning up tables after morning snack, helping kids at the toilets. ATSEM work  according to a planning set up by the school director.

In that school we also find toilets that have access from the playground, a motricity room, which is used in the morning as a reception room where parents can leave their kids before school, a library (BCD where you can find all kind of children books). 

According to a planning, each class pupils can borrow & bring books home once a week. Each class can freely come in the morning or in the afternoon after naptime to make some documentary research. In the afternoon, the BDC is used as a nap room for the youngest kids.
